Define Success

Success is a definition and it should be absolutely yours to define. Most people are swayed by the society’s themes and definition of success, and in turn they fall into the trap of constantly comparing with other people. The society’s definition is in its own interest. Like individuals, I think the society too, has a survival mechanism and there’s a demand to constantly influence individuals to work for the system, in the sole interest of its continuity. When individuals are successful, the collective is naturally successful, contributing to real societal progress.

I think each and everyone should think for themselves, identify goals, define success, and accordingly measure success. Success is subjective. You should define your version.

What does success mean to you?

I think the quality of your sleep is a good way to measure some degree of success. If you’re able to rest well, it means the body and mind are in union and you’re working towards your goals, living well, doing your best, always looking forward to the next day, and progressing towards your definition of success.

Well, one can also sleep for long hours with sadness, illness and depression, however the quality of sleep isn’t in order, when your sleep is disturbed, random, restless, and excessive, it turns out to be painful for the mind and body.

Your sleep sets the stage for your day and the day sets the stage for your night’s sleep. Are you sleeping well? What’s the quality of your sleep? This question could help you fix those troublesome areas in your day and take necessary action towards your definition of success.

I might be mixing two ideas here. I strongly believe that the quality of sleep defines the quality of your work and life.
