An Open Book

Your blog is pretty much an open book about you, how you think, your interests, skills, projects, and goals. A blog acts like an open interview and conversation with anyone on the internet. This is especially true with personal blogs. If people are smart enough they can connect the dots.

It takes lot of courage for a personal blogger to put themselves out there in the open. Writing itself is a form of thinking and an act of courage. You're taking this one step further by publishing your thoughts on the internet. I think just being a creator needs appreciation. Embracing fear, showing up, and putting yourself out there, is a big win in itself. The recognition part comes later.

The upside of blogging is thinking, sharing ideas, and developing your bigger projects.

In my case, I write for myself. I wanted my own writing space, so I moved away from LinkedIn. It's easy to get caught in the social drama of what people like or don't like. In fact, likes can skew your thinking. For me writing matters more than engagement, validation, and perception.
