Accept Rejection and Reject Acceptance

Learn to show contempt to both acceptance and rejection. If you take one, you have take both. The former is sweet, keeps you wanting more, and the latter is bitter and you don’t want it any more. Turn that bitter feeling into a better feeling. The pain of rejection is fuel. On the contrary, baseless acceptance and continuous success can be detrimental to your wellbeing. You turn delusional and complacency sets in. Rejection teaches you a lot more in life, preparing you for bigger things. Just imagine — you’re continuously accepted and appreciated every moment in everything you do. That’s the most boring, stupid, and meaningless experience you can have in life. Some critical rejection actually saves you and keeps you sane. Take both acceptance and rejection with a pinch of salt, or may be sugar, I don’t know. The point is to shun them away and not let external validation — good or bad to lead your life. Don’t think that the world revolves around you. It doesn’t! I repeat once again — no...

The Next Bend

Should we think and act as if we have life all figured out, or should we just focus on the next bend? I stumbled into this profound question while watching the movie Hard Times (1975) . The protagonist only sees the next bend and is not worried much about what's in store in his life. In fact he cannot afford to see farther and beyond, due the great depression and his circumstances. He is drifter and a streetfighter who is only focused on the now and the next move in his fight. There's a great parallel here, as for most people, life is about fighting for survival and existence in hard times. I found a great sense of ease in the character. A taciturn personality, patient, and absolutely stoic. It's a character with great character. Well, I don't want to digress into the screenwriting and filmmaking aspect, however the point is when we focus all our energies only the next bend, we tend to pay absolute attention to what we have in front of us and place our energies into tac...

Top 5 TV Shows

Here's a list of the top 5 TV Shows. I'm looking forward to deconstructing and writing a detailed review on each one. As of now I have written a review for one these shows. Eventually I'll update this post. I found these five shows to be brilliant, greatly because of the writing, character development, and the attention to detail. I'm not that really into TV shows, but these are the ones I really liked from a writer's and filmmaker's lens. At times, I even make notes while rewatching some well-written episodes and I'm looking forward to sharing them at the earliest. Seinfeld The Big Bang Theory Breaking Bad Better Call Saul Pluribus
