AI, Art, and the Artist

AI can create art; however, it can't experience the art nor the process of creating art.
This is not a debate about whether AI is here to take your job or replace you in what you're doing as an Artist. This idea is about AI not replacing you as the person who can experience your art and have innate the experience of creating the art and enjoying the entire process.

I doubt even if AGI or even something beyond AGI can learn to have feelings about creating art, enjoy the process and outcome like human beings. Even if it does get to that level — someday, let's welcome them to the party.
In fact, the AI or artificial being that's being developed — in itself is a piece of human art, as it stems from the great human mind.

As humans, we create art to enjoy the process, and not just outcomes. (We're not generative artists like generative AI) We're not machines to only generate output and move on to the next output. We're here to experience the process of creation, as much as our creation itself, and convey our point of view — in our artistic endeavours.
Prompting and instructing is way different from doing and experiencing the labour of our work. So, on this front, you can't be replaced by an artificial being.

My two cents.
Embrace AI, optimise your artistic workflow, make space for things that matter, and focus on the crux of your creation — only that which needs your absolute attention — a signature to what you're creating, and continue to enjoy the process like you have been doing all these years.

Nothing can replace us nor stop us from creating and having our unique experiences at work, and life.
